APPLICATION INFORMATION |
Current application status
CLOSED for an indeterminate amount of time, because we have since disbanded.
Application INFO & Link
Note: Each application is looked at by the team captain, along with a handful of other members. This process may take up to a week at most. In the meantime, please check on all forms of contact you have chosen to share with us.
In order to join the group, you will have to answer questions pertaining to your current skill level, your playstyle, how we can contact you, etc. In truth, it's rather simple, so don't worry about it too much! All skill levels will be considered.
You can find the application link here, but please read through the entire page beforehand.

JOIN REQUIREMENTS
Here are some of the requirements to join the team.
- You must read all application information as well as team rules. Failure to do so will result in the denial of your application.
- If you have applied and are waiting for your confirmation/tryout, please stay in the server, otherwise we will assume you have lost interest.
- You must be active on Splatoon at least once a week (not counting team practice sessions), to ensure you're actively working on self-improvement.
- You should at least be S+5 rank in all game modes. This does not apply to pre-existing members.
- You must be at least 13 years of age and capable of being mature to join. (This is rule is in compliance with Discord's Terms of Service.)
- You must actively use Discord. Additionally, you must be responsible for keeping track of important announcements and pings.
- You must be able to VC for most, if not all practice and tournament sessions.
- You must be willing and ready to learn callouts.
- You should have relatively solid internet connection (aka, little to no disconnects.)
- You should be a good sport. Salty or sorry losers will not be tolerated, especially when targeting other members of the team.
- You must be able to regularly attend practice sessions. (You can find detailed information on this in the Team Rules section.)
- For reference, the team plays together once a week, usually on weekdays. If you are limited (only able) to playing on weekends, we ask that you not apply.
- You cannot be in any other team, regardless if it's a joke or meme team. The only exception to this rule is if you are applying only as a substitute player and not a main player. Keep in mind that when you apply as a substitute player, you will not be listed as an official member of the team.
- Although it goes without saying, in order to become an official member, you will have to fill out an application and go through tryouts. Do not give yourself the HC tag unless you have been confirmed.
- If accepted, you will have to add "HC!" to the front of your name.
- Ex: HC! Daki

Tryout PROCEDURES
Note: Please keep in mind, since we are just starting out, these are subject to change varying on available team members and difficulty. All constructive criticism on tryouts is appreciated.
Although it is not required, we highly recommend that you are able to Voice Call on Discord at your scheduled time, since we will be testing you on your teamwork and ability to callout. Knowing your map/location callouts is not required (since the majority of the team is still learning), but it will definitely benefit you and the team. As of now, Holy Crow is using callouts provided by the Inkademy.
Upon completing tryouts, you will be notified of your results within the span of 2 days, regardless if you pass or fail. You may request to see your exact scores and feedback. Keep in mind that the scorecard copy that you may receive will have the names of the team members removed and randomly shuffled for the sake of anonymity.

- Tryout Procedures:
- 4v4 with you being paired up with three existing members, against 3 other members (plus 1 other tryout).
- The team captain must spectate if they are not playing against/with you.
- Alternatively, you may jump into a quad-squad if few members are available at your scheduled time.

TEAM RULES
- Remain courteous at all times. You're repping your team, after all!
- Ally or not, refrain from homophobic, transphobic, xenophobic and similar slurs/insults. We have a zero-tolerance policy on bigotry.
- Do not spam the group or any of its channels. This also includes VC and in-game (with an exception to callouts).
- Failure to join at least 2 scrims a month will potentially result in being kicked from the team. We understand there's more to life than Splatoon 2, but the bar has already been set low as is. However, exceptions can be made if you have a valid reason for not been able to make it to a session. If, for any reason, the excused absences go on for over 2 months, this exception will be made null.
- Only taunt if you have been taunted. Don't let your salt get the best of you!
ORDER OF EXECUTION
- 1st offense: Warning.
- 2nd offense: Temporary mute/ban from group activity.
- 3rd or extremely severe offense: Kicked from the team.
